HUNTER AND LAURIE KIRBY

Ever since he can remember, God has been leading and protecting Hunter. He’s revealed His great love to him and saturated him with His grace. Through the struggle and heartache of the world, He is calling Hunter unto greatness. When He told Hunter to join Mountain Gateway, he wasn’t surprised, just excited. Hunter expected something of the sort. Hunter knows this is where he’s supposed to be because he hears his Father’s voice. God has given Hunter many talents, and He wants Hunter to reach people around the world. God has called him to be an author of many books, books that bring resurrection power to the church, and unite families, fulfilling in greater measure the great commission. This is a training ground for Hunter. It’s an opportunity to submit to great leaders and take hold of their instruction. It’s a chance to be challenged beyond what he believes to be his limitations. Hunter is ready to grow, and he and his wife Laurie will be obedient to God’s command and do what is necessary to follow Him accordingly.
God has specifically called Laurie to work with women and children, and she is called to teach and disciple others. She’s been blessed with the gift of encouragement and plans to use this gift through ministry opportunities in mountain gateway as well. She is very excited to serve and be God’s vessel as he works through her. God told Laurie to go with Hunter to Mountain Gateway, and as his wife she will continue to be his helper in the mission field. She hopes to use this as a ministry opportunity to speak life into married couples. With her gentle spirit, Laurie hopes to minister to those who have gone through trials and tribulation in life and need to feel the love Jesus has to offer them.
Hunter and Laurie met at the University of Pembroke of North Carolina. Their meeting was something God planned. Hunter was already on his way to becoming a Mountain Gateway missionary, while Laurie was earning her degree in teaching. God told Hunter and Laurie their union would be a holy thing and to go into the mission field together as one. God provided a way, and they were married August 12th, 2021. Though a bold decision and challenging at times, God has continually provided for them throughout the process and met all their needs. It has since been one of the best decisions they have ever made, and they have loved seeing God’s faithfulness and the ways he works through them as a couple. They are both thrilled at the opportunity to travel together and learn the masterful art of mission work. God has called them both to work with the youth of the nations and show them the beautiful and perfect way of Jesus. They desire to be of some help to those in need, those who haven’t heard the Good News. Hunter and Laurie are prepared to face the hardships of training, travel, and seeking God. They know that good will come from this, and that people, whether here or there, will benefit from this sacrifice. God is our good Father, and He has a perfect plan to bring His children unto Himself.
