Language.  It is essential to know the language of the people where we go to minister. 
 
Since we currently work primarily in Spanish speaking countries, Mountain Gateway missionaries will learn Spanish at Christian Spanish Academy in Antigua, Guatemala. It generally takes 8 months to complete the curriculum, but one student who had a broad Spanish base when she started completed it in 4-1/2 months.  The point is to prove fluency, more than of the length of time spent in study, however, students will be required to take a minimum of 4 hours a week.

Your monthly support will cover lessons, room and board.  Travel expenses are the responsibility of the student. ​

What sets CSA apart:
  • First, there is a one-to-one teacher-student relationship.  It is not a group classroom setting.  Each student progresses at his or her own rate of comprehension. 
  • Second, there are no set start or graduation dates allowing increased flexibility.

In the future we may add other language schools according to the language of the target mission field.
